ViaDirect equips the Château de Versailles
UPDATE on 16th, August 2013: The “Petit Trianon” at Versailles Palace has been equipped this summer with one 22” touchscreen with our information and guide software and one 32” for digital signage usage. Pictures are available on your right.
With more than 7 million visitors every year the Château de Versailles is now equipped with the ViaDirect wayfinding and interactive solution, in a version specifically designed to meet the needs of cultural places. The main objective is to give visitors an easy and intuitive presentation of the offer and to guide them around the Domain dynamically. This system is designed to adapt the messages according to the number of visitors in the different public places of the Castle.
Dynamic screens displaying information on offers, events, and advice complement the touch kiosks.
The devices were installed in the main reception areas of the Domain: within the Castle and in the Petit Trianon.
The kiosks have been specifically designed for the Château de Versailles in order to achieve a perfect architectural integration. They are equipped with the latest technologies available for screens and touch frames: from 22 to 40 inches for the touch kiosks and from 32 to 46 inches for the digital signage screens.
The touch software can direct visitors according to their interests, the different ticket types but also depending on the attendance in the different public spaces.
Routes are recommended depending on the season and the hour of the day in order to suggest to the visitor the most appropriate itinerary. The software also offers the opportunity to discover places and events thanks to beautiful pictures that users can browse through.
ViaDirect was responsible for the whole project (kiosk design, hardware, and software), proving its global approach competence for the digitalization of public places, for cultural sites as well as malls, hospitals, and public transports.
