First ViaDirect installation for the groupe Duval at Les Eléis
For the first time ever, ViaDirect has partnered with the Groupe Duval to equip the Carrefour Les Eléis shopping center with two touchscreen kiosks.
El centro comercial opened in May 2013, in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, a city in the Normandy region located in northwestern Francia.
The port city is strategically located so that it plays an important role as a commercial, ferry and military port on the English Channel between England and France. The shopping center took over the address of the former Carrefour hypermarket, which was later replaced by a new franchised Carrefour hypermarket in August 2020.
Capable of hosting up to 70 different retail stores, the mall’s exterior design is inspired by an iceberg floating on the water, made entirely of textured glass and tulle to let the sky and water reflections shine through.
Built right next to the docks, the translucent façade offers visitors the opportunity to overlook the basin, which is just a few steps away from the shopping center.

Matching the colors of the Duval Group’s shopping center, ViaDirect completes the overall experience with two Marina 43″ model kiosks equipped with 3D orientation software for directories and end-user information.
El touch screen interface displays the shopping destination (stores classified from A to Z, by category) as well as useful information for customers on external facilities (parking, public transport, timetables) or the various programs and services offered by the stores (offers, loyalty cards, personal shoppers). This is possible thanks to an interface presented in French and English.
By partnering with Duval Group, ViaDirect hopes to create an exceptional customer experience for visitors by guiding them through 40,000 square meters of retail space.
