Q.MEDIA DECAUX INSTALLS VIADIRECT IN THE 8 INTERACTIVE DIGITAL DIRECTORIES OF CITY CENTER, ONE OF THE LARGEST SHOPPING MALLS IN DOHA

ViaDirect equips the City Center shopping mall
q.media Decaux, a joint venture between JCDecaux and Qatar’s media market leader q.media, equips its directional furniture of the “City Center” shopping mall in Doha with the ViaDirect multitouch wayfinding software.
q.media Decaux is in charge of the advertising concession in City Center, one of the most frequented shopping malls in Qatar. This company installed the ViaDirect 3D wayfinding software in the multitouch screens of the 8 digital directories.
This first collaboration between JCDecaux and ViaDirect underlines the growing importance of digital services in modern advertising.
The software can be used in English and Arabic languages. It was adjusted to the dimensions and characteristics of the huge shopping malls in the Middle East (370 stores, 64 restaurants, 1 multiplex cinema, 1 Fun City, 1 ice skating rink, and 1 bowling alley). The user interface fits in perfectly in the vertical directories specifically designed for City Center by JCDecaux.
In addition, the standard ViaDirect features were implemented:
- A 3D map that guides people in real-time
- A multi-touch multi-floor map
- Search by topics and destination
- Autocomplete search among the stores
- Interfaz de usuario animada
- Display of information and offers
- Display of external data through web services: events, cinema show timings,…
- Constant monitoring of the directories and problem resolution in 24h
