The Singapore shopping center ARC is now equipped with ViaDirect’s wayfinding kiosk
ViaDirect has installed 2 wayfinding kiosks in Singapore at Alexandra Retail Centre (ARC). Completed in July 2016, this is yet another collaboration with its Singapore partner, Ascenstar which currently has projects in about 31 countries.
The shopping center was created by the PSA buildings, in order to provide convenience and local shopping to the working population of the office towers and also to the residents of the surrounding area. ARC is spread over three floors and is dedicated to a wide range of retail, shopping, restaurant and other services.
Located in the heart of the Mapletree Buisiness City office in Singapur., school and residential area, the shopping centre fits perfectly with its surroundings. In addition, it now directs its many customers using the la solución de guiado ViaDirect.
The end product of this strategic collaboration at ARC is as follows:
ARC selected the landscape-oriented “Gazelle” kiosks designed by ViaDirect and adapted/manufactured locally by Ascenstar. The company logo is lit with LED and there are two n “I” stickers added onto the kiosks on the front and back to increase invisibility. In terms of hardware, the kiosks include:
- 48” Samsung HD professional displays
- The latest generation of multi-touch overlay technology
- iBase Ultra-slim and i7 3rd generation powerful media players
The shopping center chose a colorful dynamic user interface and the main application software features include:
- 3D map of the Centre indicating user’s current location and directions to 100 destinations
- Search brands and services by name or category
- Restaurants information and directions
- Events and promotions in real-time
- Nearby transportations, car park, and taxi stands directions
Maintenance:
ViaDirect provides comprehensive remote software monitoring e mantenimiento services that are shared with Ascenstar, which provides more timely hardware maintenance and on-site support when necessary.
